Unintentional IAF pilot action traced hostage ribbon above Israel, military says
The image could be seen across various areas in the country, including central Israel and Jerusalem.
An Israel Air Force (IAF) pilot traced the image of the ribbon, which could be seen in the sky above Israel Monday morning, the military confirmed later in the day, according to Israeli media.
According to IDF sources cited in the reports, this was done during a routine activity carried out by the force, with an initial investigation revealing there had been no intention to trace the image.
Earlier the image of the ribbon, symbolizing the campaign to return the hostages home, could be seen across various areas in the country, including central Israel and Jerusalem.
Israeli media later reported that the military was looking into the possibility that the ribbon traced in the sky had been the result of an independent action by an IAF pilot.
A possible IAF aircraft
Israel's public broadcaster KAN News reported that such an outline could only be achieved via a jet plane.

In addition, the height and rapidity in which it was achieved point to an IAF aircraft, particularly a fighter jet or intelligence plane, such as one belonging to the 122 Squadron, according to KAN.
