Israeli psychologists have called on the Health Ministry to review Sara Netanyahu's fitness to practice psychology, citing concerns over her behavior amid her husband's ongoing trial.

Israeli psychologists from the group "No Mental Health Without Democracy" called for Sara Netanyahu's competence to practice as a psychologist to be examined in an appeal to the Health Ministry on Sunday.

The group reportedly said that Sara "did not meet the basic standards required of a psychologist in Israel" due to the ongoing trial of her husband, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"As professionals, psychologists, and counselors, we cannot remain indifferent in the face of these testimonies, which may indicate Mrs. Netanyahu's unfitness to work as an educational psychologist," the group reportedly wrote in the letter.

The aggressive and abusive behavior revealed in the investigations could point to impaired judgment and raises questions about her professional functioning."

In addition to her ability to practice her profession being called into question, dozens of people filed police complaints on Sunday morning against Sara over alleged witness tampering in her husband’s criminal trial, which was revealed on the Uvda television show on Thursday.

"No Mental Health Without Democracy" has previously opposed the judicial reform and has repeatedly protested for the return of the hostages.
