Netanyahu discharged from hospital after prostate removal

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was discharged from Hadassah Hospital on Thursday evening, where he was hospitalized following his prostate removal surgery that took place on Sunday. 

Netanyahu announced the release in an X/Twitter post, in which he thanked Israeli citizens for "the prayers, encouragement, and support." He also thanked the hospital staff in his post as well.

Hadassah Hospital said Netanyhu's doctors told him his condition was stable and he was "recovering satisfactorily" from the surgery.

The hospital added that Netanyahu faces a recovery period ahead of him.

It also noted that a post-surgery medical follow-up was expected. 

Netanyahu's surgery 

Netanyahu underwent prostate removal surgery on Sunday after he was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection resulting from a benign prostate enlargement. 

Following the surgery, which lasted approximately two hours, Netanayhu was moved to the hospital's recovery room.

The operation took place in an underground facility at the Hadassah Hospital and required the prime minister to undergo full anesthesia.
