"The forces fired at the terrorists in order to remove a threat," the Ynet quoted the IDF as stating.

The IDF killed a Palestinian as troops returned fire on terrorists after they attacked Israeli forces with improvised explosives, Molotov cocktails, and stones, as well as fired fireworks at them during counterterrorism operations in the West Bank city of Nablus on Friday, Ynet reported on Saturday, citing the IDF.

“The forces fired at the terrorists in order to remove a threat,” the publication quoted the military as stating.

No casualties were reported among the IDF troops operating in the area.

The official Palestinian Authority state-run media outlet WAFA reported that Israel had deployed snipers on the roofs of a number of buildings in the area of Balata, which is east of Nablus. The IDF troops had come from the “Awarta checkpoint,” the report noted.
