The Pope shared that he is considering visiting Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and Jordan for the second time.
Pope Francis is considering visiting Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and Jordan for the second time, he said during a meeting at the Vatican with Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Henrique Cymerman.
During their meeting, the pope also expressed interest in the Chamber’s activities promoting Israeli business ties with Gulf countries.
Cymerman who represents Israel to The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) informed the pope of Israel’s extensive trade ties with the Gulf states.
Additionally, he highlighted business opportunities and diplomatic relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, which he recently visited.
Hostage families have met with the Pope
They also discussed the situation in Israel, and Cymerman asked the pope to assist as much as he could regarding the return of the hostages.
Two delegations of hostage families have already met with the pope, coordinated by Cymerman.
