After the Lebanon-based terror organization fired 35 rockets at Israel's North on Monday, the IDF responded by striking at the sources of the launches, the military said.
The source of the strike was in the area of Arzoun in southern Lebanon.
The Hezbollah launches were identified as crossing into the area of Ein Zeitim in northern Israel. No casualties were reported.
Go to the full article >>The United Nations has failed to tackle the extent to which Hamas has infiltrated the UN Relief and Works Agency in Gaza, Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on Monday as he slammed a newly published report about the neutrality issues within the organization.
“Hamas has infiltrated UNRWA so deeply that it is no longer possible to determine where UNRWA ends and where Hamas begins,” Katz said.
He is among the many politicians on the Israeli Right who have long called on the UN to close the organization which services 5.9 million Palestinian refugees in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Gaza, the West Bank, and east Jerusalem.

The report also said Israel had yet to provide supporting evidence for its claim - based on a staff list it was given in March - that a significant number of UNRWA staff were members of terrorist organizations.
The United Nations appointed former French foreign minister Catherine Colonna to lead the UNRWA neutrality review in February after Israel alleged that 12 UNRWA staff took part in the Hamas-led Oct. 7 attacks, which triggered the Gaza war.

The French presidency added that Macron also reiterated to Netanyahu that France wanted an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza and that France was working on trying to ease tensions from clashes on the border between Israel and Lebanon.

Israeli FM Israel Katz later took to the social media platform X to express his support for the EU sanctions.
In a post written in Persian, Katz wrote, "The important decision of the European Union today to sanction the weapons programs of the Iranian regime sends a clear message to the authorities of the [regime]."

Shortly after, the IDF released a statement saying, "In a decision with the Chief of Staff and with the approval of the Minister of Defense, Major General Aharon Haliva will conclude his role and retire from the IDF after appointing a successor through an orderly and professional process.
Major General Aharon Haliva noted in his request his high appreciation for the performance of the Military Intelligence Directorate's personnel during the war.
The Chief of Staff thanked Major General Aharon Haliva for his service over 38 years in the IDF, during which he contributed significantly as a fighter and commander for the security of the state."
A link to a copy of his letter to the Chief of Staff was attached to the statement.
The IDF, Shin Bet, and Israel Police arrested the suspected terrorist who murdered 14-year-old shepherd Binyamin Achimair in the West Bank on April 12, during an overnight operation the security bodies announced in a joint statement on Monday.
According to the statement, the suspected terrorist in question is 21-year-old Ahmed Duabsha, a resident of the village of Duma in the West Bank.
