Go to the full article >>Italy's foreign minister said on Monday it was "unacceptable" to equate the Israeli democratic government with Hamas, in his first comments on the International Criminal Court prosecutor's request for arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas leaders.
"It seems to me truly singular, I would say unacceptable, to equate a government legitimately elected by the people in a democracy with a terrorist organization that is the cause of everything that is happening in the Middle East," Minister Antonio Tajani told a TV show.
