The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), the IDF, and the Israel Police arrested a group of Palestinians from the Hebron area who were about to commit a terror attack, the agencies said in a joint statement.
The three men from the village of Bani Na'im near Hebron were planning an attack "within the immediate time frame," according to the Shin Bet.
One of them was arrested on Route 6 at noon on Monday in a swift operation by Shin Bet and the Israel Police; the suspect was handed over to the Shin Bet for investigation.
Following the investigation by the Shin Bet, two more squad members were arrested at their home.
Following a search, weapons were discovered in their possession.
All three were transferred to the Shin Bet for further investigation.
Go to the full article >>The IDF late Monday night announced it had detained a UN team from a caravan of humanitarian vehicles, including arresting some terror suspects who had embedded themselves within the caravan, at a northern Gaza checkpoint.
According to the IDF, it had received intelligence that terrorists might have concealed themselves within the caravan.
Despite some earlier reports that the trucks were carrying polio vaccines, the military said the vehicles were not connected to the vaccination project for Gaza and were just facilitating changing over UN personnel at various locations in Gaza.
It was unclear why there was a discrepancy regarding the purpose of the UN caravan, though the politics surrounding the polio vaccination is highly sensitive from a number of different angles.
The IDF said that it was continuing to question the detained suspects.

Thirteen suspects were arrested by Israeli forces on Route 6 on Monday, and the road was blocked to traffic from the Horesh interchange heading north while the police examined the vehicle.
The main suspect who was arrested on Route 6 is a Palestinian who illegally entered from the West Bank, according to KAN. Intelligence has emerged, suggesting that he intended to carry out an attack.
All suspects were detained for questioning after Rosh Ha'ayin police officers stopped a shuttle bus with 13 illegal residents inside. Nothing was found in the search of the car.
The Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) General Kurilla met with IDF Chief of the General Staff Herzi Halevi in Israel on Monday to discuss the situation in the North, the IDF said.
The general visited the Northern Command with the Commanding Officer, MG Ori Gordin, and held a situational assessment of the Command’s Underground Operations Center.

Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander Hossein Salami stated that "the nightmare of Iran's inevitable response is shaking Israel day and night."
Salami added that Israeli leaders are in a state of imbalance and tension, anticipating an Iranian response that will be "painful and different from what you expected."
