IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi confirmed on Sunday the IDF's attacks on the Houthis in Hodeidah, Yemen, adding that the IDF's reach extends even further.

"We struck the Houthis in Yemen an hour ago. We know how to reach very far, we know how to reach even farther, and we know how to strike there with precision," Halevi said in the situational assessment. "This is not a message; it is an action. An action that carries a message with it. In Lebanon, we continue eliminations because it is the strongest way to weaken them. We continue destroying weapons and eliminating operatives. I'm looking at the Axis, led by Iran, with Hezbollah as a very central factor. Hezbollah has been hit very hard in the last month, the last two weeks, and the last three days. It has lost its head, and we need to keep hitting Hezbollah hard. This is the main focus, and we must also adapt our tools for other places."

Israel has changed the strategic reality in the Middle East with its intense strikes on Iranian proxy groups, including the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

“We crushed Hamas in Gaza. We eliminated most of its chain of command,” Netanyahu said in a Sunday night statement.

“We forcefully struck Hezbollah, we eliminated Nasrallah, and we are systematically eliminating the top of his command, including another [assassination] today in Lebanon,” Netanyahu stated.

On Sunday, the Home Front Command issued updated guidelines for northern Israel, easing restrictions in several areas.

Areas where restrictions will be eased are the Haifa Bay area (except for Kiryat Ata, Kiryat Motzkin, Kiryat Bialik, and Kiryat Yam) and the Carmel region (in the towns of Daliyat al-Karmel and Isfiya), which have transitioned to partial activity.

Educational activities can now be held in locations where access to a standard shelter is available.

Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav responded to the decision, stating, "I thank the officers of the Home Front Command for fulfilling my request to gradually and safely return students to educational institutions in the city. I urge all residents to continue following the Home Front Command’s instructions and not to become complacent."

Several leaders of Israeli opposition parties called on the government to order a ground invasion into southern Lebanon, joining the call of other ministers and coalition party leaders after Israel killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah on Friday.

In a visit to the northern town of Kfar Giladi, Democrats chairman Yair Golan pointed to a Lebanese village overlooking the Kibbutz and said that the IDF needed to conquer it so that “there will not be a direct line of fire.”

In an interview later on Army Radio, Golan said that the residents of the North will “not be able to return to their homes if the terrorists are so close.”

“A ground invasion of Lebanon is necessary in order to ensure that there is no Hezbollah presence south of the Litani River,” Golan said.
