IDF heightens state of alert in anticipation of Iranian response

The IDF has not ruled out the possibility of an Iranian response from Syria, Yemen, or Iraq, rather than directly from Iran.

The IDF has heightened its state of alert and readiness in anticipation of a possible Iranian response to the recent Israeli strike, military sources said on Monday. 

This increased vigilance includes daily situational assessments across all branches and divisions of the IDF General Staff, including the Home Front Command.

Gallant approves issuance of 7,000 draft orders for haredim to join IDF

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant approved the issuance of 7,000 additional draft orders for haredim, Israeli media reported Monday evening.

Gallant discussed the issue of haredi recruitment to the IDF on Monday with Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Herzi Halevi, Deputy Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Amir Baram, head of the Manpower Directorate Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asor, and Military Advocate General, Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi.

The Israel-Jordan border is exposed to weapons and drug smuggling, as well as terrorist infiltrations, Southern Command military officials warned.

“Despite exceptional cooperation with the Jordanian military, it is getting closer,” stated a source in the Southern Command, referencing the attack at the Jordanian border during which two armed terrorists infiltrated.

MDA paramedics head for area of reported rocket strikes following sirens in North

Magen David Adom paramedics were en route to the area of reported rocket strikes following the sirens that sounded in the North on Monday, MDA said. 

MDA added that no casualties had been reported. 

At 10:58 a.m., sirens sounded in Acre and further North in Rosh Hanikra and Shlomi, among other localities.

Hamas and Fatah officials have decided to form a joint administrative committee in the Gaza Strip, following talks in Cairo, Al-Araby Al-Jadeed reported on Monday, citing a senior Hamas official. 

According to the report, the source added that Hamas had outlined the committee's tasks, while Fatah was more focused on discussing its leadership.
