IDF eliminated two terrorists involved in the October 7 Massacre during a focused operation in the southern Gaza Strip, the IDF reported on Thursday evening.

In recent weeks, the Southern Brigade and Bedouin Special Forces (585) conducted a focused operation in the southern Gaza Strip to dismantle terror infrastructure and underground tunnels, the IDF reported.

An 85-year-old man sustained light wounds from rocket shrapnel, Magen David Adom (MDA) said on Thursday, following the rocket sirens that sounded in Western Galilee.

As of 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, approximately 70 rockets were fired by Hezbollah from Lebanese territory into Israel, the military said.

Evacuation under fire: IDF uncovers southern Lebanon Hezbollah operation

During these confrontations, soldiers raided a Hezbollah compound based on intelligence and indications of terrorist activity in the area.

Reservists from the Nahal Brigade, under the command of the 91st Division, operated in recent weeks along Israel's northern border and in ground operations in southern Lebanon, the military said on Thursday. 

In these operations, sixteen soldiers were wounded, and five reservists fell in combat, including Captain (res.) Avraham Yosef Goldberg, 43; Staff-Sergeant-Major (res.) Gilad Elmaliach, 30; Captain (res.) Amit Chayut, 29; and Major (res.) Eliav Amram Abitbol, 36; and Staff-Sergeant-Major (res.) Shaul Moyal.

Israel Air Force warplanes struck Hezbollah weapons cachets, command centers, and other terror infrastructure in the southern suburbs of Dahiyeh in Beirut, the military said on Wednesday. 

The IDF noted that the strike on targets entrenched in a civilian area had been carried out based on precise intelligence information. The military further added that prior to the strike,  steps had been taken to prevent civilian harm, including using surveillance, precise munitions, and issuing evacuation warnings.
