IDF troops find a ready-for-launch missile system in Lebanon

In a raid on a weapons stockpile in southern Lebanon, the IDF discovered a missile system aimed at the Galilee.

The IDF discovered a mobile missile system aimed at the Galilee Panhandle during raids in southern Lebanon this past week. 

The ready-for-launch missile system containing 24 rockets was discovered connected to a civilian structure in southern Lebanon by IDF Brigade 769 under the 91st Division. It was brought back to Israel, along with other pieces from a weapons stockpile concealed in the nearby forest.

Operation Northern Arrows

In the course of Operation Northern Arrows, the IDF has said it has destroyed around 300 terrorist infrastructures, eliminated a number of terrorists, and uncovered underground Hezbollah facilities in southern Lebanon.  

The IDF also said it had found stockpiles of weapons and ammunition that included equipment such as Kornet missiles and RPGs.

IDF kills terrorist in West Bank counterterrorism operation

The IDF troops also located and confiscated ‘Carlo’ type weapons, ammunition, and combat equipment, which have been transferred for further handling.

IDF soldiers killed a terrorist who opened fire at them during a counter-terrorism operation conducted Saturday during the day in the Aqaba area in the West Bank, north of the West Bank city of Tubas, where Duvdevan reservists, the Maglan unit, fighters from the 636 Battalion, and additional forces operated, the IDF reported Saturday evening. 

Troops also arrested a wanted suspect and interrogated other suspects.

Sirens sound across Israel's North Saturday afternoon, no injuries reported

Several rockets were seen crossing from Lebanon and falling into open areas, following sirens in the Meron area and in the Upper Galilee Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:00 p.m., the IDF reported. 

Following the alerts in the area of Metula at 3:14 p.m., approximately five rockets were intercepted by the Israeli air force. One crash was reported in the area, however nobody has been reported wounded.

Qatar pulls out of mediating role between Israel and Hamas negotiations

This comes after the US pressured Qatar to expel Hamas leadership in Doha.

Qatar has pulled out of Gaza ceasefire mediations until Hamas and Israel ‘demonstrate a sincere willingness to return to the negotiating table,' a source briefed on the matter told Reuters on Saturday. 

The official further said that Qatar had concluded that the Hamas political office in Doha 'no longer serves its purpose.'

Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon's Tyre kill seven, Lebanese health ministry says

At least seven people have been killed and 46 wounded following Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon's coastal city of Tyre, the Lebanese health ministry said on Saturday.

The ministry said two children were among the seven who were killed in the strikes, which Lebanon's state news agency said took place late on Friday.

Rescue teams are still recovering bodies from the rubble, with search operations ongoing, the ministry said.

IDF raids Hezbollah site responsible for deaths of 12 Druze children in Majdal Shams

The 810th Brigade located Hezbollah’s underground infrastructure in the area, which in turn led to the discovery of rocket launchers and weapons stockpiles.

The 810th Brigade, led by the Alpinist Unit, conducted a limited and localized raid on the outskirts of the Lebanese village of Chebaa, leading to the discovery of a Hezbollah launch site responsible for the rocket which killed 12 Druze-Israeli children in Majdal Shams, the IDF announced on Saturday afternoon. 

The raid, which occurred over the past week, reportedly led troops to discover and dismantle Hezbollah launch infrastructure, weapons and intelligence assets.
