Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have instructed the IDF to launch a second wave of strikes against dozens of Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon, in response to the rocket fire toward Israel, the Defense Ministry announced in a Saturday evening statement.
The IDF confirmed it struck Hezbollah command centers, infrastructure sites, terrorists, rocket launchers, and a weapons storage facility in Lebanon during the Saturday afternoon strikes.
The ministry stated that the Lebanese government is responsible for everything that occurs within its territory and that Israel will not permit any harm to its citizens or sovereignty and will take all necessary actions to ensure the security of its civilians.

Hamas is still “unwilling to compromise” in hostage deal talks, a source familiar with the details told The Jerusalem Post on Saturday, one week into Israel’s renewed offensive in Gaza.
"Israel has been attacking Gaza for seven days, but Hamas is not showing flexibility, which is preventing the negotiations from resuming,” the source added.
As the security cabinet convened in Jerusalem on Saturday evening, an Israeli official told the Post that, given Hamas's current stance, Jerusalem would escalate its military operations in the coming days.

Ealier, a paraglider was spotted near Kibbutz Erez in northern Gaza. Numerous security forces were dispatched to the scene, and residents were instructed to remain in sheltered areas.
Upon investigation, it was determined that the incident involved an Israeli civilian who was operating a paraglider in the area without coordinating with IDF forces. The event concluded without any casualties.

Yemen's Houthis announced a blockade on Ben-Gurion Airport and warned major airlines from flying to Israel, the terror organization said in a Saturday morning statement.
"After the success of our Yemeni Armed Forces in cutting off Israeli shipping in the Red Sea, a blockade is imposed on Ben-Gurion Airport in occupied Palestine," the Houthis wrote in a statement on X/Twitter.
The Houthis warned Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Air France, British Airways, United Airlines, and easyJet from flying to Israel for "everyone's safety."

Steve Witkoff, US President Donald Trump’s envoy to the Middle East, said that Hamas could still be involved in Gaza politically after they have been demilitarized in an interview with Tucker Carlson on Friday.
“They need to demilitarize, and then they might also be politically involved in Gaza,” he said while discussing Hamas's rationale and goals for negotiations.
“We need to understand what Hamas wants and then think about what we can offer them to make them leave. That is what needs to happen here. At the start of the conflict, we heard that ‘Hamas is an ideology, and they are ready to die.’”
Witkoff challenged this idea, saying “I don’t think they are as ideologically extreme as they're often portrayed. They send young children who understand nothing to commit suicide with explosive belts. Once we understand that they want to live, we can talk to them more effectively.”
