Four people murdered over Independence Day

A 40-year-old man was shot dead in Holon, a 24-year-old man was shot in Elad, a 33-year-old woman was killed in the Negev town of Arara and a 56-year-old man was shot dead in his shop in Kfar Yasif.

Four people were murdered on Independence Day.

59 Arabs have lost their lives since the beginning of the year in violent crimes

“We saw a man in his forties lying unconscious on the sidewalk, without a pulse. All we could do was pronounce his death,” said Magen David Adom paramedic Yossi Rosenthal in Holon.

In Elad, a medic in the motorcycle unit of MDA Elazar Agassi said: “The wounded man was lying in the courtyard between two buildings, unconscious. We evacuated him to the hospital while performing resuscitation operations.”The police believe the Holon and Elad shootings were underworld killings. The Kfar Yasif victim was known to the police.

The organization Abraham Initiatives reported that 59 Arabs have lost their lives since the beginning of the year in violent crimes, of whom 55 were shot and 26 were under 30.
