With the shortage in blood units, which is now being felt even more, the ice cream brand Ben & Jerry's Israel decided to hold a social activity together with the blood services of Magen David Adom, to donate blood to the MDA blood bank. MDA has been warning of a severe shortage of blood units of all blood types, especially type O, for life-saving treatments.

As part of this, an MDA donation stand will be set up on Monday, October 23, at the Faculty of Engineering of Tel Aviv University, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In light of the shortage, Ben & Jerry's has decided to cooperate with MDA's blood services, setting up ice cream booths alongside blood donation stations in central areas, such as universities, colleges, malls, and shopping and entertainment centers. The company will place freezers there and everyone who donates blood will receive ice cream in a selection of different flavors.

MDA blood services call on the public to donate blood at additional Magen David Adom blood donation stations that will be set up in shopping malls, at various MDA stations, and in public places throughout the country.
