Bring the hostages home, says Israeli singer Dudu Aharon
Israeli artists have been working tirelessly to offer support to victims and soldiers across the country.
Since the beginning of the war, Israeli singer Dudu Aharon has been working tirelessly to support soldiers and displaced families.
“I'm on a mission to bring joy to IDF soldiers in the north, the south, and to people who have been displaced from their homes,” he said in an interview with Jerusalem Post’s Hebrew publication Maariv.
“God has entrusted us with the responsibility of bolstering our national morale," he added. “I’m giving it all. If my schedule doesn't permit me to fulfill all the requests, I ask my fellow artists to help.”
Aharon shared how the encounters he is making are having a profound impact on him.
“I performed several times in front of the residents of the south, including those who were evacuated from the border with Gaza,” he said.
“There was a family from Netiv HaAsara who had endured the horrifying ordeal of a massacre. The mother turned to me and said, 'It has been only two weeks since the massacre. I have been crying every day, attending one funeral after another, burying my dearest friends. The first time I smiled in this dark period was because of you. Thank you for bringing solace and happiness to my children. Seeing them dance after what they have been through is the most wonderful feeling."
'Bring them back'
Aharon also stressed the need to bring back the hostages in the hands of Hamas.
“It is the most horrific situation that we can imagine and it should be our top priority,” he said. Amidst the ongoing war, we must not forget this pressing issue. It is inhumane that babies, children, and elderly individuals are enduring this ordeal.”
