The military noted that such centers had been used by Hezbollah to carry out terror activities against Israel and IDF troops.

Earlier Tuesday, with the direction of precise Israel Defense Forces (IDF) intelligence, the Israel Air Force (IAF) struck several weapons storage facilities belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Dahieh, a southern suburb of Beirut and a key Hezbollah stronghold, the military announced on Tuesday evening.

Prior to the strike, the IDF took numerous steps to mitigate the risk of harming civilians, including issuing advance warnings to the population in the area. This operation is part of broader efforts to target Hezbollah’s weapons storage and manufacturing facilities, many of which are embedded beneath residential buildings in the heart of Beirut, putting local residents at risk.

Over the past 24 hours, IDF troops continued their limited and targeted operational activity in southern Lebanon. The troops eliminated dozens of Hezbollah terrorists through both air and ground operations and located several operational centers and weapons storage facilities in the region.

Additionally, the troops discovered several underground tunnel shafts, including ones equipped with communication devices and one used as a Hezbollah command and control center in southern Lebanon.

Earlier Tuesday, the IDF revealed that the IAF targeted around ten Hezbollah command and control centers in Al Housh in southern Lebanon over the past day, including that of the terror group's Radwan Force.

The military noted that Hezbollah had used such centers to carry out terror activities against Israel and IDF troops.

The IDF added that these Hezbollah centers were embedded within civilian infrastructure, stating, "The Hezbollah terrorist organization has been systematically abusing civilian infrastructure throughout Lebanon to plan and execute terrorist activities, endangering Lebanese civilians."

Issuing warnings to civilian population

The military further stated that before the strike, it carried out steps to avoid harming civilian populations, such as warning citizens through various modes of communication, aerial surveillance, and precise munitions.
