Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted for the first time that he would have to answer for the military failure that occurred on October 7, when Hamas caught the IDF by surprise and infiltrated southern Israel.

“This failure will have to be investigated to the last degree. Everyone will have to give answers,” he said. “Myself included.”

The admission came on the 19th day of the war, and after Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and other top brass in the military had already admitted to one of the bigger military fiascos since the creation of the state.

“Citizens of Israel, October 7 was a black day in our history,” but the issue of accountably can only occur after the war is over, Netanyahu said.

"Everyone will have to give answers, myself included."

What Hamas did on October 7 was worse than terrorism, IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said on Wednesday evening in response to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's claim that Hamas "is not a terror organization."

"I heard what Erdogan said...Hamas is worse than a terrorist organization. The people responsible for the massacre wanted death and horror and it is our duty to show that to the world," Hagari said after being asked to respond to Erdogan's comments.

The spokesperson further said that targeting senior Hamas officials in the Gaza Strip remains a "top priority" for the IDF as it prepares for a ground invasion.

The IDF released new footage from the mass infiltration of Hamas terrorists and the massacre of Israelis, showing glimpses of the chaos that unfolded in Kibbutz Be'eri on October 7.

The video, taken by what appears to be security cameras at the guarded entrance to the Kibbutz, starts with Hamas terrorists losing control of a vehicle and ramming into the gate after being shot, and fleeing moments before Israeli special forces from the elite Shaldag commando unit appeared on the scene.

The commando forces are seen scanning the area before guiding the residents of the Kibbutz out of their homes.

Though not shown in the video, the Israeli military said the forces later killed the terrorists seen attempting to sneak away.
