Ofer Malls, part of the Melisron Group, announced on Sunday the launch of Ofer Gift, the first gift card of its kind in Israel. It is the only card that can be used in 100% of the stores across all 18 Ofer malls nationwide.

The Israeli gift card market is valued at approximately NIS 3 billion annually. Unlike existing gift cards, which are typically limited to certain chains, brands, or businesses, Ofer Gift is the only card accepted at all 2,400 stores located in Ofer malls. This includes international and local brands, boutique shops, permanent kiosks, as well as cinemas, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, and pharmacies. Additionally, the card honors all real-time promotions and discounts available in-store. The card is valid for six years.

The Ofer Gift card is powered by a cutting-edge platform developed in collaboration with CAL Credit Cards and is compatible with digital wallets on smartphones, providing a simple and seamless user experience similar to that of a standard credit card.

To mark the launch, Ofer Malls will roll out a broad advertising campaign starring their brand ambassador, comedian Adi Ashkenazi. The campaign will appear across television, digital media, and mall-based advertising. The campaign, led by the McCann advertising agency, involves an estimated investment of NIS 2.5 million.

According to Itai Banyan, VP of Business Development and Innovation at Melisron: “Ofer Malls encompass 18 malls, approximately 2,400 stores across Israel, over 70 million visits annually, and annual sales exceeding NIS 10 billion.” He added: “We are constantly working to implement innovative strategies and digital solutions to enhance the value we offer both to our mall visitors and our tenants. As part of these efforts, we are proud to introduce a groundbreaking product to Israeli consumers with the launch of this unique gift card. The clear advantage of the new card is the lack of restrictions within the mall – shoppers have access to all stores and brands, from major international chains to boutique shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and pharmacies, many of which do not currently accept other gift cards available in the market.”
