Lod

Lod is an important city in central Israel near Tel Aviv. 

The city has a vast history and has been mentioned in the Bible and maintained a degree of importance for many years.

Today, Lod serves as one of Israel's most important transportation hubs, being home to Ben-Gurion Airport, the country's sole international airport.

Demographically, Lod is characterized by its heavily mixed population, home to Jewish and Arab Israelis alike.
