Feeding in War: Carfour Israel Wins Tender for Emergency Food Packages

The Economy and Industry Ministry announced a NIS 30 million tender for 80,000 emergency packages. Carfour Israel won to prepare 30,000 packages.

Upon winning the tender from the Economy and Industry Ministry for the preparation of emergency food packages, Carfour Israel was informed that it would be responsible for both preparing 30,000 packages and distributing them nationwide.

In the first stage, Carfour will provide an immediate quantity of 10,000 packages. Additionally, it has been given the option to produce 20,000 out of 60,000 packages, which will be packaged according to the decision of the Economy and Industry Ministry.

The food products in the packages will include: bread, UHT milk, canned tuna, crackers, canned vegetables, bulgur/couscous, dried fruits, biscuits, oatmeal, black coffee, tea, sugar, raw tahini, and various other products.

Michael Luboshitz, Deputy to the CEO of Carfour Israel, stated: "The initiative of the Economy and Industry Ministry to prepare emergency food packages is blessed, and we are proud to take part in this national mission. Carfour Israel has been operating since the beginning of the war to assist Israeli citizens with food packages, toiletries, and games for children in the south. It is our privilege to be the leading network to prepare and distribute the packages to all those in need."
