But what exactly makes it the king of oils? We asked Perin Chen Abbou, an aromatherapist:
Lavender oil is the multitasking superstar from the world of oils. One of its outstanding benefits is being very gentle, making it suitable for infants from birth (of course, in the appropriate dosage), and yet very effective and suitable for almost any situation. Unlike other oils, it can be used directly on the skin and it's recommended to always have it with you.
So here's a detailed list of the various uses of this amazing oil:
Immediate First Aid
Injured? Cut? Child has a mosquito bite or sunburn? Lavender can be used for anything requiring immediate treatment. When applied, it cleanses and assists in the quick healing of the skin. How to use it?
You can directly apply a few drops onto the skin.
Lavender oil is anti-inflammatory and effective in treating inflammatory conditions
Suffering from ear inflammations? Got a fungal infection? Lavender use will be effective in reducing inflammation. How to use it?
In cases of ear inflammation, for example, drip a few drops behind the ear and gently massage (do not drip into the ear). You can put a few drops in the palm of your hand and place it near the ear so the lavender's essence will be absorbed.

How to use it for pain relief?
Lavender oil is wonderful for abdominal pain, for example, in situations of gas-related stomachaches, or even for adult women experiencing menstrual pains. You can drop a few drops of pure lavender and massage in circular motions clockwise around the abdomen. For infants, it's advisable to prepare a blend of one drop of pure lavender and a teaspoon of high-quality carrier oil (such as almond oil). Similarly, you can treat any pain such as headaches, muscle aches, etc.
Lavender oil is antidepressant and very calming.
It helps with good sleep, relaxes the body, and gives a pleasant feeling of calm and tranquility.
How to use it for relaxation?
You can prepare a blend with a dose of a drop of lavender on a teaspoon of carrier oil and give your baby a massage every evening before sleep for a calm and peaceful sleep.
For older children and adults, especially in our current time, with more anxieties, stress, and fears, it is recommended to keep lavender in your bag. You can take a few deep breaths from the bottle, and the active ingredients in the scent will quickly enter the bloodstream and calm immediately.
Lavender oil strengthens the immune system, opens up breathing, and eases coughs and colds.
How and how much?
It is recommended to apply a few drops of lavender along with a base oil (such as almond oil) on the chest and back, in massage movements upwards and to the sides, for better breathing and relief from respiratory problems and coughs.
In addition, you can also drop it into the home diffuser. And a few drops in a warm bath.
For effective treatment, make sure your lavender essential oil is 100% pure and high quality, and of course, undiluted.
