Babyark, developed by an Israeli startup with key developers of tank armor, introduces a unique safety patent. Designed by Ferrari and Maserati, it ensures maximal child safety.

After launching in the USA, babyark, the new generation of safety seats, arrives in Israel. Babyark will be marketed exclusively in selected stores and through the Shilav website.

The Fox Group, the owner of the Shilav network, also invested in Babyark along with the Carasso Group. The seat was developed by Shai Mindel, an aerospace engineer and CEO of the company, who was also involved in developing tank armor, from his personal need and experience when he became a father. Mindel recounts that in his first experience as a fresh parent, he realized that he had connected the safety seat incorrectly. When he began to explore the field, he was amazed to find that the materials and technology of safety seats had not changed for many years. From this understanding, Mindel embarked on the development of Babyark and partnered with renowned designer Frank Stephenson, who designed cars for brands like Maserati, Mini, and Ferrari.

Babyark offers a new and uncompromising standard of child safety, design, and comfort. The safety feature of the seat is taken from the military world: Mindel was involved in inventing a unique patent of a spiral coil, developed by Mobius Protection Systems, which absorbs the energy transferred to the passenger during an explosion in military vehicles or in road accidents. He also embedded the same coil in the babyark seat. Studies have shown that the impact force transferred to the child in the seat in the event of an accident is reduced by 2.5 times compared to other seats: metal coils at the base of the seat open during an accident and transfer the energy to the rear part of the fixture and not to the seat body where the child is located.

The coil is located within a dedicated base, which connects to the car via isofix connectors, and the seat is mounted on it. This provides maximum comfort when transferring the safety seat from one car to another without the hassle of reinstalling each time. The seat also has a special side wing responsible for absorbing energy in the event of a side impact.

Another development embedded in Babyark aimed at increasing its safety level is 14 sensors located in the seat base, allowing to know if the seat was installed properly through an application. Another significant advantage of these sensors and the application is an alert in case a child is inadvertently left in the car. The application is available on Android and iOS.

The unique design of the seat is signed by the designer Frank Stephenson, who designed models for Ferrari, McLaren, Maserati, and more. Choosing Stephenson was intended to give the safety seat the shape that supports the highest safety combined with technology. Thus, the egg shape was created, creating a kind of "safety cocoon," inspired by patterns and natural systems of security and life preservation. The eggshell clip is mistakenly considered fragile and thin, but it is one of the strongest structures in nature, even stronger than certain metals.

Babyark is intended for babies and children from 1.8 kg to about 29.5 kg and allows the seat to be placed in a rear-facing position for up to about 25 kg. The seat is available exclusively at Shilav stores in Israel at a price of NIS 3,990.

About Babyark

Babyark is an international brand focusing on innovative technology that enhances child safety during travel. Babyark combines energy absorption systems, tested in aviation and military applications, with IoT technology, creating a new standard of safety. SafeCoil™ technology, carbon fibers, and D3O™, the most technologically advanced polymer in the world for absorbing impacts, are part of the Babyark car seat. In a smart base, 14 sensors are positioned, alerting through an application when the seat is installed correctly or incorrectly and if the child is not buckled or left unsupervised. More information about Babyark can be found on the website.
