Kibbutz Hashlosha Group launches affordable orthopedic visco mattresses available in supermarkets nationwide. Does affordability affect quality? We tested to find out.

In recent years, visco foam pillows and mattresses have gained popularity. This type of foam, also known as "memory foam," was originally developed by NASA to ensure comfort and safety for astronauts during space launches. Over time, it has become a central component in various products, including car seats and shoes, and especially mattresses and pillows. This exceptional foam responds well to body heat and pressure, adapting to the body's shape to provide targeted support throughout the night.

The Kibbutz Hashlosha Group, entering the sleep mattress market for the first time, is launching the Everest visco mattresses. These orthopedic mattresses, available in single or double sizes in all dimensions, are accessible at supermarkets across the country. Kibbutz Hashlosha's visco mattresses are based on an American model, featuring advanced technology with visco foam, a unique cooling system, machine-washable covers, and a high-quality memory foam that delivers a luxurious sleep experience all night long, backed by a 10-year warranty.

Our Tester's Verdict

"The best thing you can say about a mattress is that it feels like it’s always been there," our tester notes. "After several days of using Kibbutz Hashlosha’s orthopedic visco mattress, that was exactly how it felt. We didn't need any adjustment period—it was as though this mattress was made for us, tailored to our bodies and sleep needs. Having spent years sleeping on spring and latex mattresses, we tried visco foam for the first time, and the experience was outstanding. The 'Everest' model from Kibbutz Hashlosha was neither too firm nor too soft; it was just right, with a thickness of 25 cm, providing depth and allowing for undisturbed, high-quality sleep."

Kibbutz Hashlosha’s visco mattress comes with a 10-year warranty, promising long-lasting durability without losing shape or wearing out. Priced affordably—from NIS 700 for a single mattress and from NIS 1,300 for a double—it’s even available at leading supermarkets nationwide, including Rami Levy, Hatzi Hinam, Shufersal Online, Home Center, Osher Ad, and the King Store chain.

Tester’s Conclusion:“After trying it, we can confirm that the low price does not compromise quality.”
