Former defense minister Yoav Gallant's resignation from Knesset went into effect at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana announced.
Ohana met with Afif Abed, who was next in line on Likud's party list and has officially replaced Gallant as a member of Knesset under the Likud Party starting Sunday.
