A 26-year-old man and his 80-year-old wife celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary, proving that love knows no bounds.

Gary Hardwick, now 26, has been married to Almeda Hardwick, who recently turned 80, since 2015 when he was just 17 years old.

The couple, hailing from Tennessee, tied the knot after a mere two weeks of dating and openly share their relationship on social media.

Gary's testament of love

Even with the significant age difference, the Hardwicks insist that their love runs deep. Gary expressed, "We’ve been through our fair share of life struggles, but we’ve always been right beside each other and defeated those struggles together."

Interestingly, Almeda is not Gary's oldest partner. Prior to meeting his current wife, he had dated a 77-year-old woman. After a few years together, Almeda, now 80, expressed her desire to spend the rest of her life with Gary, going as far as getting his name tattooed on her chest.

Gary shares, "Almeda is so young at heart that age has never been an issue for us. We don't dwell on that fact. I simply know that the day she came into my life, God answered my prayers."

Just recently, Almeda celebrated her 80th birthday, and Gary took to his TikTok account to share a heartfelt tribute. He wrote, "Happy birthday to the most amazing woman in the world. Today is not only your day, but also the celebration of the birth of a truly wonderful woman with a heart of gold. I am the luckiest husband to wake up next to you every day. You make me the happiest man, and I always strive to make you the happiest woman."
