Ashdod

A port city in southern Israel, Ashdod is one of the largest cities in the country.

As of 2022, it ranks fifth, after Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Petah Tikva.

The city has a rich history going back thousands of years when it was one of the Philistine city states.

Today, Ashdod serves as one of Israel's most vital ports and is also home to one of the largest Moroccan Jewish communities in Israel.
