New Marketino in Ramat Yishai offers spectacular views and tasty news in Israel

Mercatino, Ramat Yishai

A promising and delightful opening connects the breathtaking views of the Jezreel Valley with the liberating cuisine of Italy and our own.

Mercatino, led by Niv Crispin and Eyal Yonai, aims to create market food from Italy with a local touch. The menu will feature, among other things, fennel confit with oranges and polenta soufflé, roasted cauliflower with onion aioli and Jewish artichokes, boucher cheese with caramelized pumpkin, and an enticing array of pizzas and pastas - from Sorrento pizzetta with lemon ricotta to seafood spaghetti, from "Zebulun Valley" with mascarpone and jalapeño jam to a tomato butter sauce.

In addition, there will be white fish crudo and fried calamari, Milanese scallopini, and involtini di pollo (grilled chicken roulade with olive oil and butter stuffed with pepperoni and Pecorino Romano), vitello tonnato and beef cuts, along with talk of an indulgent weekend brunch.

Summer Menu, Pastel

The veteran restaurant of Itzik Henigel celebrates the hot season with a fitting menu, led by Gal Ben Moshe, aiming to strengthen local agriculture.

Among the offerings will be black tapioca flower with roasted pepper cream and mussels, corn tartlet with smoked aioli and celery, kadayif-wrapped shrimp, fakus salad with roasted grapes and brie cheese, burrata with coriander vinaigrette, gnocchi with glazed pumpkin and feta cheese, local fish crudo with leche de tigre, and "Iskander veal sweetbreads," grape leaves stuffed pierogi with caramelized onions.

This celebration will conclude with desserts by Olivia Fachiera Nater, such as crispy burek leaves with pecan semifreddo and dried fig cream, and organic goat milk flan with glazed apricots, accompanied by summer cocktails - like the "Rosemarita" (tequila, Cointreau, rosemary, grapefruit Monin) or "The Green One" (gin, coriander, Midori pineapple).

Bottomless Wine, Oliphant

The new wine bar led by Dudi Kedem celebrates Saturday afternoons in the best way imaginable - with a bottomless wine deal.

Besides the worthwhile deal (NIS 150), there will also be dishes at a fixed price of 42 shekels, such as tuna tartare on brioche, bresaola with sourdough and egg salad, beef tartare with potato chips, milk bun with slow-cooked lamb neck, fig salad with stracciatella cheese and za'atar pesto, as well as handmade Turkish boyos from Clara's bakery.

Cocktail Festival, Tel Aviv

The second edition of the joyful alcohol celebration kicks off with promises to be bigger, tastier, and more special.

The event, taking place on Thursday-Friday (August 1-2) at Trask in the Tel Aviv Port, will offer 22 special cocktails from The Alchemist, based on brands from Carmel Winery, 18 bar stations, a sweet area, excellent sunset views from the rooftop, workshops, DJ performances, fireworks, fire displays, and even a detox for those in need. Price: from NIS 150 for a daily ticket in advance to NIS 350 for a VIP ticket.
